How it Works

You start your estimating project by filling in the cover sheet which includes important homeowner information such as lot, model, permits and other project information.

Important Project Information

On this sheet input important data that pertains to the overall scope of the project. This information is automatically exported to the summary sheet, invoice page, order list and client copy of bid.

SUMMARY SHEET OVERVIEW

On the Summary Sheet, the totals of the Project Estimate are automatically imported as you input data throughout the worksheet.

The totals imported into this sheet comes from data placed in various cells throughout the workbook. The only adjustments needed are those in the “percentages” column.

JOB OVERHEAD SHEET OVERVIEW

The Job Overhead Sheet is where you input data pertaining to taxes and fees, etc.

You also input insurance costs as well as clean-up and punch list costs..

PRICE SHEET OVERVIEW

Insert Material Prices.

Prices are always changing. You might want to make your bid proposal good for a thirty day period.

TAKE OFF SHEETS OVERVIEW

Here lies the heart of the Estimagic Construction Estimating Program. Simple and easy to use.

Basically, all you need to do is put in the width & length of the structure into the appropriate cells and hit enter. All materials/labor results displayed on this sheet are carried throughout the program. In this example we show the roofing take off sheet.

Before working on the Take Off Sheet, you should update prices on the Price Sheet. A running total will be exported to the Summary.

It took a long time to put it all together, but it’s such a great program, I’m confident it’s going to take off and I won’t have to worry about money. Besides, I’m trying to be competitive…
