Estimagic is a revolutionary estimating program that does it all for Roofing Subcontractors.
The key to good estimating is accuracy. With this program,
you aren't forced to choose whole numbers for pitch or any dimensions. For the
pitch you can enter any number from 0 to infinity. And every thing in
between.For example: You have a pitch of 4 and 3/8" in 12 (4.375 in 12). You can't enter a dimension like that in any Roofing Estimating Program other
than this one. You can even enter a negative number if you like. (I tried it.) Any number works as long as it's decimal.
Basically, about all you need to do is enter the width, length and pitch
of the roof (and a few other minor details) and you can grab your ladder and get on it. This program figures out materials down to
the last nail. Of course, no one can do any roof job without some degree
of waste. And a hip or valley will definitely create more trash than a gable any
day. Don't worry, you can even adjust the waste factor, according to your own
preferences. Labor estimates are also included. In the help file you
can find a detailed explanation on how to change the rates. There is a link from
the Take Off Sheet to the help page for that topic. You can also track your expenses within the workbook from
the Tracking Sheet. The Bid proposal is automatically exported to the Credit
Cell and you can begin keeping track of all expenditures. You don't have to run
your business out of your glove box, anymore. Estimagic Roofing Estimating software is tailored to fit
